So, we have the night off here in Newburgh, NY, outside of West Point and a friend of mine and I decided to see a movie, "The Ruins". Well, we had an hour before the showtime and decided to have a couple . . . see, we wanted to get "ruined" - get it? get it? Hey, this is as good as it gets folks. Anyway, there were no bars around so we went to the local Perkins, yes, the "family" restaurant, we sat at a table and had 2 Coronas, surrounded by families, high chairs, and strollers - very hip!! Well, then we made it to the movie - it was good, I enjoyed it. I would have liked a little more exposition on the actual Ruins, but it was a good movie nonetheless. Jenna Malone was exactly what you would expect from her, but I enjoyed the blonde girl, she was good.

"The Ruins" should be added to your book club. One of the best books I've read in 10 years. Haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm sure it doesn't hold a candle to the book.
MAN! I really wanted to see this one! I had to see "Nim's Island" instead. I'll have to see this by myself another day.
