Stop already!
Hello my suckas! I will preface this by saying I am not a horse person. That said, what is the big deal about euthanizing Barbaro? People euthanize horses, champion horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, even other people every day! I'm surprised they didn't shoot him that day when he broke it. Seriously, race horses are only good for racing or breeding. Making this huge news and on the front page of papers is ridiculous. There is a war going on, still homeless people in the gulf coast, and the beginnings of a very important election. Bye horsey, move on!
Lesson Learned
Next time you try to sneak into a double feature at the movie theatre, make sure at least one person has bought tickets to the showing . . . otherwise they don't play it!!

Helpin' Out A Friend
So, I recieved an email from a very entrepenureal friend of mine. He has attempted several home based businesses and I thought I would spread the word on this latest one. It sounds like a great idea and it is always so difficult to get the word out on a new idea. The idea is called "I Want You to Know" books. The books are designed for specific occasions such as, Dad's to children, Spouses to Spouses, Bride to Groom, and so on. The books give you an outline to write a brief idea to journal thoughts leading to a certain occasion. It always sounds like a great idea to keep a journal of some kind to keep thoughts when you are older, but we rarely follow through past a couple of days. Here is a book designed to fill in the spaces and insert pictures and so forth. I know I love that sort of thing and I thought it would make a great gift to expecting mothers, soon to be marrieds, and moms and dads. Tons of occasions are already thought of. Check out my friends website . . . www.iwantyoutoknowbooks.com. I also added it on the right side of the screen under friend's cool sites, so you can click it directly. I really think you would enjoy it. There aren't any occasions coming up in my life, but maybe some are more applicable to you all. Get inspired!! :)

Work
Hello my suckas. Well this week I was scheduled everyday at work. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but we are usually scheduled for 4 10 hour days, so working 5 days is kind of tiring. Tuesday my friend Helen was sick, so I didn't get to see her. The day went downhill from there. One of the guy techs was bitten in the hand by some dog that I had never heard of, but it's really just a new kind of chow. It was bad, he sat there pale as a ghost, then turned green. Someone wound up taking him to the hospital. He actually came back later that afternoon, honestly I would have gone home. Then another tech was trying to get this horrible pit bull back in his cage after he got his muzzle off. But she went in first so she was trapped in there. She jumped up the side of the cage, it was kind of amazing like a little spider monkey, but not before he bit her in the foot. He went right through her shoe and punctured the skin. Sorry, but some of these dog breeds have a bad rep for very good reason! The rest of the week was fine and not crazy busy luckily. Yesterday I got sent home early (around 3pm) since I was at 50 hours for the week. One of the guys from our Annapolis office was going out for his birthday, so me and six guys went to McDougals, a strip club. It was so much fun. Strippers pay alot of attention the girl customers and the guys find it entertaining, we had a great time. I got a lap dance and did most of the guys. The birthday boy had a good time.
Doug and I are off today, so I'm off to do some cleaning and figure out what movie we may see tonight. He wants to see Pan's Labyrinth, but I'm not into it. I know it's supposed to be great and all, but it doesn't look interesting to me. I'll let you know what we come up with. See ya suckas!

The Producers on Ice
So, this past weekend we were in balmy London, Ontario. The average tempereature was probably in the teens and it snowed everyday. Well, we asked for winter and we got it full force!! We played the LeBatt Center which is an ice hockey arena. However, they bring in shows and concerts, build a stage above the ice and even have a fly system. Now, they cover the ice with about an inch thick wood in about 4 x 6 foot sheets. There are gaps about an inch wide between the sheets too so you can slide the boards around a little - it's fun!! As you can imagine the wood does little to keep the cold from your feet. And the costumes were set directly on the wood and many times you are down to a dance belt, it was quite cold. Well, the shows were great and the audience loved it, even the ones in penalty boxes!

Photo Contest
Well, well, well, I have decided to go ahead and steal from other peoples blogs and incorporate them into ours. We need a picture of Tamarin to put up on the page and I, alas, have none digitally.

Current headshot of Tamarin Ythier, Sucka Extraordinaire
I know some of you out there have some whoppers to put on the internet and would love the chance, so here it is!! Email me your best Tamarin picture to csucha1@aol.com, and I will pick the winner to post over my sexy, but doesn't look like me, headshot. Now, if you have a shot of both Suckas, you probably will get posted as well, so let the fun begin!!
Also, can we quickly discuss the Golden Globes and Ugly Betty?!?!?! Now, I have only seen one episode of this show and I was NOT impressed. And for America Ferrera to beat out such actresses as Mary Louise Parker and others is just awful. What is it saying about performances today?
I will however say that Sasha Baron Cohen absolutely deserved that award and gave a great speech, as did Meryl Streep when she panned the room and remarked that she had worked with everyone in the room! Funny! Anyway, just had to get that off my chest and hopefully didn't offend any die hard Ugly Betty fans.

Too many kids!
Hello my suckas. Nothing too interesting to report from work from the surgery side. Pretty routine surgeries this week. Well, no surgery is routine, but we did alot of knee surgeries that are a regular thing for us. We did do a fracture repair on a 4 month old kitten that turned out well, but getting the bones reduced (set and aligned back where you want them) was difficult and kind of grisly.
So, I will frequently not name names here in case people from work start reading this. There is is girl who works in the building, not with surgery, who is pregnant. Last week I found out she is 25 or 26, and this is her 5th kid! Oh, it gets better. She is in the welfare system somehow (I don't know if she gets food stamps or monthly allowance or what), lives with some guy who is the father of SOME of her other kids, and she is not sure who the father of this one is! My friend Helen (I will use her name because she is so delightful) was counting out some change for lunch and this girl was joking around making fun of her. Helen said yeah, times are tough, I'm getting ready to pay for another one of your f---ing kids! I thought that was hysterical. Now I don't believe in government interference, but someone needs to put it to this girl to stay on her feet, not on her back, invest some of that money in condoms and stop getting knocked up!

Call Me Master
So, we are in Jackson, MS the first part of this week, the capital of Mississippi! Things are pretty typical and ordinary in this city. There is a Waffle House across the street from the hotel!
Well, back in Philadelphia, some of you know, I was requested to teach a Master Class at a dance studio. This is where the studio hires some professional to come out and teach original choreography and instill their wisdom. Fortunately, I am proficient with both. Well, I started to think, I could make a lot of money doing this on the side, considering I only perform in the show about once a week, it will really occupy my time. So, I talked to the other dance captain, Lauren, who is the most delightful person. We mailed out letters offering our expertise in the art of dance to studios in cities we are visiting. The very day the letters landed we started receiving phone calls and we just completed our first Master Class yesterday.

Dance Xpress Dance Studio, Jackson, MS. Lauren is down front 3rd from left, I am (duh!)
We have already scheduled at least 6 more and that is only within the next few weeks!! Who would have thought that someone with only a high school diploma could become a Master!! I am so cool!!

2 Suckas!
Good morning suckas. Yes, surprise, there are two suckas sharing this blog! You will now also get to hear about the animal world and other events in my (Tamarin) life. I don't know how to post pictures or do anything fancy, so for now I will just type.
I didn't sleep well last night, so I am up kind of early for Sunday, considering I didn't go to bed until 2:15. I was hoping to sleep until about 10am, but oh well. Doug and I are going to see "A Light in the Piazza" today at the Kennedy Center and I am really looking forward to it. Some woman told Doug it's great if you're a mom or a daughter, so Doug isn't sure what the appeal for him will be. Sometimes people should keep their opinions to themselves!
I have to thank Mark Minnick for my Follow Spot award! I worked very hard on my laundry folding for that scene. I felt that the realism of that task far outweighed the importance of my singing or acting ability. I am so pleased that it showed in my Pre-formance. Thank you to the crew who set up my clothes line so well every night too.
Work has been up and down. Friday was difficult. This stupid bulldog tried to die all day. I say stupid because he was also mean, so while he was struggling to breathe, when you went to help him he would lunge at you and try to bite you! We didn't have that many surgeries, but some of the surgery techs (including me) were tied up in appointments in the morning, then the bulldog had his first episode and that tied up some people too. We have a "crash cart" so he was intubated and an ekg started and iv fluids and blood pressures checked. The doctor decided he would need a tracheostomy, so they did that while we got the surgery day back on track. In the afternoon the dog got the tube out, so we had to pull another doctor out of surgery to fix it. There were other issues in between I won't bore you with. I need a new phone, so maybe I'll get a camera phone so I can post some work photos, once I learn how.
I am going to go make some coffee and watch the news. See ya suckas!

Happy New Year!!
So, here was the perfect opportunity to let the ball stay dropped. I haven't written in awhile and although I am sure I have lost all readers, maybe there are a few that have hung on, awaiting the brilliance out of my mind yet to come - well here it is!! Let me catch you up!! So, after Scranton we visited Newark, New Jersey, where we played for a week at the gorgeous facility NJPAC. Since we were so close to the city I stayed at my apartment, which was nice but gave me a two hour commute - ugh!! Needless to say I wasn't energized enough that week to post anything!! My lovely parents came up and saw the show and one of the highlights of their trip was going to Radio City Music Hall to see the Rockettes. My great good friend Julie Tomaino was in the show and offered to give us a backstage tour, where we had the distinct pleasure of kicking on the stage!!
It was wonderful!! Well, I was able to spend Christmas day with my family in Virginia, before joining the tour again in Norfolk on the 26th. My father enjoyed his gift to all of us . . . it was rather amusing!!
So, Christmas day I had a problem with my laptop. Those who have a laptop know that your power cord has a sort of surge protector along with it. Well, that afternoon my power cord started sizzling and eventually smoking so that is was then useless. Well, I haven't been able to power my computer since then - until today!! The part requires special ordering and I just got it today!! YAY!! One more little woe . . . I was going to see a movie in Norfolk (Dreamgirls - it was AMAZING!) when my check card wouldn't give me money. Odd. I checked my account later that night and to my horror, someone had charged $2,200.00 to my check card (must have been online) and wiped me out!! I have also spoken to several other people who say a similar thing happened to them - watch your accounts folks - it sucks!! Now, thankfully, everything is back in working order. We are currently in Fayetteville, Arkansas - our furthest point west so far. Nothing to report here and we are here for a week!! My resolution is to stay better in touch with people - how am I doing? Ugh, anyway, until next time . . . !
