So, after talking to a few people lately, I am concerned. It seems in this day and age we are getting to the point where we have lost our holiday spirit. I have had several converstations with people who can't or haven't been able to serve up that holiday cheer. Are we becoming too cynical, too jaded, too old?? I hope that even in old age I will still get excited to hang the Christmas tree and listen to my favorite Christmas tunes. I pose a question to you, readers, what is the one (or many) thing(s) that get you going in this bustling, stressful time of year. For me it is also simply a cup of holiday flavored coffee and a good friend to go shopping with to make the year special. Or taking an evening to decorate the tree with music playing. Maybe you have some special or unique tricks to keep the season fresh, so let us know, so we can nix the hum-buggers for good! Tis the season!

I'm a very realistic person, and I am very grounded during the year. But even I love Christmas. When it's this time of the year I get all warm inside, and wish for snow every day. I get in the mood by watching Christmas movies, specifically "White Christmas", never fails to put me in the holiday mood. I also keep my sirius radio tuned to the X-mas station. A good ol' a rum pumpum pum, never hurts.
Nothing like sitting in your living room, turning on the tree lights and watching a little Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! That always puts me in the mood. Also, A Christmas Story movie always does the trick! Hello Chris Suchan! Love your blog!
I should specify "mood". I am referring to the holiday mood.
