Disneyland

So, this past Monday we were in Anaheim and stayed at a hotel in walking distance to Disneyland. Now, I have never been to any Disney park and was pretty excited at my first opportunity. Well, we got a two park pass to California Adventure and Disneyland, just to have the full experience. We started in Disney with the Buzz Lightyear shoot em up game. It was fun, you ride in a little car and shoot at targets and it keeps score for you, I won!! Anyway, we continued on with The Matterhorn, Small World, and a couple of other rides. Now, although the themes are pretty great, the rides are pretty lame and geared for very little children. I have to say I enjoyed Space Mountain where they played music in your seat while you rode - pretty cool. Other highlights were the California Soarin' where you simulate flying around California and they have smellivision when you go through the orange trees and forests, it smells like it! Also, the rollercoaster in California Adventure, the only one in the park, was a lot of fun!! We also ended the day in Downtown Disney with several beers and a hangover on Tuesday, ugh! Anyway, all in all, I would say Disney has nothing on Kings Dominion!!

Birthday

So, it has been awhile since my last post, almost a month!! Anyway, rather than catch you up on all that has happened, I'll just give you some previous updates. So, we are currently in California and it is beautiful, but 3 hours behind, so those of you calling me at 10:00 . . . let's do the math!! Well, my birthday was last week - 29, almost 30, AAH!! It's okay, I am looking forward to 30. It was great, a low key day, but a fantastic night. Went to dinner at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen), had a show and got a book on how to be a vegetarian (clearly a gag gift), also got Stonehenge in a box, Tap Dancing in a box, and Gong in a box - fun, silly stuff. We went to Fridays after the show - it was the only place close, and I got drunk!! in 10 minutes . . . one friend bought me a shot of Tequila and a beer, then I had a stoplight shot (3 shots), midori/vodka, orange/vodka, and cran/vodka. Did those and I was done!! My roomate also but decorations all over our door and over my bed, with a hostess cupcake!! It was delightful. I will try to post more often, but you know how it is!!
